1. Is the MSN-HSM degree any different from those earned on campus at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing?
   No. You will receive the same quality MSN degree and diploma. The online delivery method of the HSM program is not reflected on your diploma.


2. How is this program accredited?
   Vanderbilt's MSN degree programs are accredited by National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission and approved by the Tennessee Board of Nursing. Vanderbilt University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.


3. What is the HSM program structure?
   The program offers you the flexibility of full-time or part-time study. Many students need to continue their full-time employment so that a part-time class schedule works best for them.
   
   Part-time students enroll in two to three courses each semester, taking courses concurrently. Courses are 14 weeks in length. The program consists of 39 total credit hours and can be completed in approximately two years (five semesters).
   
   Full-time students enroll in four to five courses each semester, taking courses concurrently. Courses are 14 weeks in length. The program consists of 39 total credit hours and can be completed in approximately one year (three semesters). Full-time is only offered to Fall semester (August) starts.

   Enrolling in the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing's Health Systems Management MSN program is an investment in your individual development and expansion, from novice to expert, in the profession of nursing. 5. When do I start the program?
   Part-time students may enter the program three times per year at the beginning of any semester — Fall, Spring, or Summer. Full-time students enter the program in the Fall only.


6. How much study time is required in this program?
   This program is designed for working professionals who must keep up with the demands of work and home. Most part-time learners require 18 hours of study per week. Your instructor will help keep you on track. Learners also find their small group is a tremendous source of support.
